Then The Tabled Laughed is a
local multiplayer game for 2 to 12 players
about some dude trying to survive in a room full of mimics. Think “Prop Hunt meets Red Light, Green Light”.
One player controls the human with the mouse - the other players can spawn up to 11 mimics amongst the furniture with a single keyboard, at any moment in game!
The game was made for the Ludum Dare #40: we ranked 15th overall, 10th in fun and 6th in innovation !
WHAT I LEARNT:
I began to adopt Object-Oriented Programming!
I discovered keyboard ghosting as a hardware limitation
I must work on simplifying my games' rules so they're easier to grasp, without losing the concept's originality.
