A 30-min vertical slice for a Zelda-like game, our 2nd year school project.

Stuck at the edge of the Voodoo underworld, a peat merchant exchanges parts of his soul against divine powers in a desperate attempt to escape and go home...

Our intention was to challenge the notion of hero, in a morally ambiguous universe.
Gameplay-wise, the player is challenged on his combat skills, especially placement.
His health pool becomes smaller as he unlocks new devastating powers : less mistakes allowed but more possibilities!

WHAT I LEARNT:



I learnt a lot about AI designing and programming, both for enemies and boss.

I had to make a hand-made collision detection system, which proved to be a formidable challenge at the time.

I learnt about managing a project and a team.
